Workstream is building an AI-native service organization to support the hourly workforce. This role focuses on delivering accurate, efficient payroll services while using automation to improve internal workflows and customer outcomes.

What you'll do
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing using customer data and recurring items.
- Resolve customer inquiries through investigation and clear communication.
- Validate payroll data for accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Apply human oversight to verify AI-generated outputs and recommendations.
- Collaborate with the EPD team to refine automated processes and tools.
- Maintain documentation and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
- Handle sensitive employee information with strict confidentiality.
- Participate in the testing and adoption of new AI-powered service features.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll, finance operations, HR technology, customer service, or related fields.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-accuracy work.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under strict time-sensitive deadlines.
- Proficiency with software, data management, and digital workflows.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to own issues until a final resolution is reached.
- Willingness to learn and utilize AI-powered tools in a professional setting.
Nice to have
- Prior experience specifically in payroll processing or supporting payroll-related inquiries.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms, timekeeping software, or financial systems.
