US Benefits Specialist

About the role

Workstream provides a dedicated HR, payroll, and hiring platform designed for the hourly workforce. You will serve as the primary contact for clients after they implement our software, ensuring they successfully utilize our Benefits and ACA systems.

What you'll do

• Act as the main point of contact for clients following the implementation phase.
• Conduct regular check-ins to monitor system performance and resolve client needs.
• Drive platform adoption and assist with the annual Open Enrollment process.
• Maintain ACA compliance for clients once systems are live.
• Configure benefits administration and insurance deductions, including pre-tax and post-tax setups.
• Troubleshoot issues related to benefits, ACA, and payroll deductions.
• Review documentation for benefits and ACA setups prior to system builds.
• Ensure all data remains accurate and current within HRIS and benefits platforms.

Requirements

• Experience working within a benefits, payroll, or HRIS platform environment, or with a benefits broker.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. benefits regulations, specifically ACA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
• Ability to work during U.S. business hours.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Excel.
• High level of comfort managing sensitive employee data and maintaining confidentiality.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
• Professional communication skills for interacting with clients and internal cross-functional teams.
