Senior Software Engineer I

About the role

You will join the FinCrime Requests team to manage external inquiries from law enforcement and financial partners. Your work focuses on replacing manual email workflows with automated systems to ensure regulatory compliance while minimizing impact on customer accounts.

What you'll do

• Build a centralized platform to manage investigative workflows and partner requests.
• Integrate LLM-based automation to process incoming communications from authorities and banks.
• Create self-service tools that allow external partners to access necessary data securely.
• Refine escalation logic to distinguish between actual criminal activity and false positives.
• Develop automated response systems that maintain consistency across various jurisdictions.
• Mentor junior team members on technical architecture and stakeholder management.
• Coordinate with internal fraud and sanctions departments to share investigative insights.

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience with Java and the Spring framework.
• Proven history of working with microservices architecture and asynchronous message queues.
• Ability to design and maintain scalable systems capable of handling high global request volumes.
• Experience building data enrichment tools and flexible response templating systems.

Nice to have

• Experience working with LLMs in a production environment.
• Background in financial crime, AML, or regulatory technology.
