Senior Product Compliance Manager

About the role

Join Wise's Product Compliance & Risk team, focusing on financial crime, to enhance our global KYC program for both individual and business customers. You will work with product and compliance teams to balance customer experience with regulatory requirements for onboarding. This role is central to developing compliant financial products.

What you'll do

• Guide the design, development, and deployment of KYC controls for all global customers.
• Identify and implement improvements to customer experience, support growth, and streamline operational processes.
• Analyze data to evaluate control effectiveness and help establish an ongoing testing program.
• Collaborate with product teams to prioritize and implement control enhancements that strengthen the program and create efficiencies.
• Develop project plans and manage the implementation of improvements identified through audits or by external parties.
• Conduct regular reviews to ensure controls remain compliant with evolving regulations and industry guidelines.
• Contribute to the mapping and assessment of controls for the annual financial crime risk assessment.
• Support new product and feature launches to ensure rapid market entry with scalable, compliant MVPs.
• Address issues with existing products and features to maintain compliance and scalability.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in AML, with a focus on KYC controls and advisory.
• Demonstrated experience working with product and engineering teams to build KYC or financial crime controls.
• Background in automating financial crime controls.
• Strong data analytics capabilities.
• Excellent communication, project coordination, and management skills.
• Ability to provide clear rationales for teams.
• Proactive in anticipating roadblocks and resilient in overcoming challenges.
• Willingness to challenge current approaches to better serve customers while maintaining compliant processes.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Nice to have

• CAMS, ICA, or an equivalent certification.
