About the role
Wise is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our global team in São Paulo for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will focus on AMER and LATAM payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting our global operations.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Process payroll for AMER and LATAM regions for each pay period.
- Submit payroll inputs to our third-party provider, Cloudpay, while meeting all deadlines.
- Maintain historical payroll documentation and ensure all data balances correctly.
- Prepare payroll journals, GL files, and ad-hoc reports.
- Conduct internal audits and respond to regulatory agency inquiries.
- Partner with the Payroll Lead to improve processes, policies, and team efficiencies.
- Stay updated on local payroll tax laws and legislative changes.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in AMER or LATAM payroll processing within a high-growth company.
- Ability to prepare, process, correct, and audit payroll aspects.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and charts, as well as Google Docs and Sheets.
- Experience with payroll software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
