About the role
Wise is looking for a finance professional to join our LATAM team in São Paulo. You will serve as a key partner to regional leadership, ensuring financial accuracy and regulatory compliance across our local operations.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead the month-end close and quarterly financial reporting for LATAM entities to ensure complete accuracy.
- Act as the primary deputy to the LATAM Regional Finance Lead by providing data-driven business insights.
- Oversee compliance processes and internal controls mandated by the Central Bank of Brazil.
- Manage ongoing relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and outsourced service providers.
- Improve existing financial processes and maintain a high standard of operational detail within the team.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting and an active CRC certification.
- Professional background in financial controlling, audit, or management accounting within the FinTech, Banking, or Financial Services sectors.
- Working knowledge of both Brazil GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Experience managing internal controls and process improvements in high-growth environments.
- Ability to present financial findings to senior stakeholders and manage regulatory communications.
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English.
