About the role
Wise is looking for an IC2 Senior Data Analyst to join our London team and manage the full lifecycle of regulatory reporting datasets. You will bridge the gap between finance, compliance, and engineering to ensure our data infrastructure supports global operations and expansion.

What you'll do
- Create and maintain efficient reporting datasets to satisfy regulatory obligations and audit requirements across multiple legal entities.
- Automate reporting processes to reduce manual tasks and support end-user self-service.
- Design data visualisations that clearly communicate trends, control results, and variances to stakeholders.
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems within reporting workflows.
- Partner with financial controllers, compliance, and product teams to translate regulations into internal data requirements.
- Resolve complex data discrepancies and address stakeholder inquiries.
- Coordinate with analytics engineering to integrate cross-functional data into regulatory reports.
- Apply AI and agentic tools to improve reporting efficiency.
Requirements
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and DDL/DML operations.
- Practical experience with DBT, including materialisation strategies and testing.
- Proficiency with a modern data warehouse like Snowflake.
- Experience managing high-volume data.
- Ability to explain technical findings to non-technical partners.
- Understanding of financial statements and fundamental accounting principles.
- Competence with Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
- Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS.
- Proven use of AI and agentic tools in a professional environment.
- Right to work in the UK.
Nice to have
- Python proficiency.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow.
- Experience with version control systems like Git and GitHub.
- Proficiency in visualisation tools such as Looker, Lightdash, or Superset.

Practical notes
- Base salary: £60,000 - £85,000.
- Includes RSUs in a public company.
- Benefits include private medical and life insurance, a 6-week paid sabbatical after four years, 26 weeks of full-pay maternity leave, and an annual self-development budget.
- Flexible work policy allows working from almost anywhere for up to 90 days per year.
