About the role
Join the Internal Audit branch of the Compliance & Internal Audit Analytics team at Wise as a Senior Data Analyst. You will collaborate with the Internal Audit function to shape and execute its analytics strategy. This role focuses on enhancing audit testing through data-driven approaches and developing automated tools for continuous auditing and other Internal Audit activities.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Partner with Internal Audit stakeholders across various business areas, including Financial Crime, Operations, Risk, Finance, and Technology.
- Identify and implement high-impact analytics within audits, while also educating and enabling Internal Audit partners to adopt similar practices.
- Work with analytics, engineering, and business experts to find and understand diverse datasets, perform analyses using current methods, and gain a deep understanding of Wise's operations.
- Promote data-driven insights and innovation across all Internal Audit activities where analytics can add value.
- Contribute to automation and tooling projects to improve Internal Audit efficiency, such as workflow automation, continuous auditing, AI applications, and building management information dashboards.
Requirements
- 3 or more years of experience in data analytics.
- At least 1 year of data analytics experience in a Financial Crime related role.
- At least 1 year of data analytics experience within an audit, risk, or compliance related role.
- Advanced skills in managing stakeholders, including the ability to coordinate with analytics, engineering, and business specialists to achieve significant change.
- Extensive experience using SQL to build and maintain complex data sources and using visualization tools to present insights.
Nice to have
- Experience working in regulated environments, Fintech, or Financial Services.
- Experience using dbt, Superset, or Looker.
- Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques, including Python and various visualization methods.

Practical notes
This is an IC2 role. The base salary for this position ranges from £60,000 to £85,000, along with RSUs in the company.
