Senior Business Development Manager, Banks

About the role

You will lead the expansion of Wise Platform in North America by securing partnerships with major enterprises and financial institutions. This role focuses on integrating our payment infrastructure into the systems of large-scale digital platforms, including workforce management and e-commerce sectors.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for the North American workforce management sector, covering payroll and contractor platforms.
• Manage the full sales lifecycle for enterprise deals exceeding $500k in annual recurring revenue.
• Identify and cultivate a pipeline of new partners through proactive outreach and market analysis.
• Engage with C-suite stakeholders to demonstrate the financial and operational value of Wise infrastructure.
• Coordinate with internal product, engineering, legal, and compliance departments to finalize complex technical integrations.
• Analyze deal economics, including FX margins and monetization models, to optimize commercial outcomes.
• Provide feedback to the global product team to shape the future development of Wise Platform features.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the payments industry, specifically with cards, global or domestic transfers, or e-wallets.
• Demonstrated history of success in B2B enterprise sales for strategic accounts.
• Experience managing and closing deals worth $500k+ ARR with sales cycles lasting 6 to 12 months.
• Technical understanding of embedded finance, spend management, and bill pay solutions.
• Proficiency in consultative sales techniques and project management.
