Accounting Operations Projects Coordinator at Wise.
About the role
Wise is looking for a coordinator to manage the operational side of accounting improvement projects within our Tallinn office. You will bridge the gap between technical implementation teams and our Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payments departments to ensure changes are scalable, controlled, and effectively adopted.

What you'll do
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of multiple parallel accounting initiatives, including tracking scope, timelines, dependencies, and risks.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership to help prioritize the improvement backlog.
- Convert operational requirements into standardized process designs, including SOPs, process maps, and RACI matrices.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by managing test cases, evidence collection, and go-live readiness.
- Collaborate with control owners to ensure all changes maintain audit readiness, proper segregation of duties, and documentation standards.
- Define and monitor operational KPIs to evaluate the success of implemented changes through post-implementation reviews.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting Operations or related project coordination, with specific background in AP, AR, or Payments.
- Proven track record of managing projects from start to finish.
- Strong grasp of project management methodologies and delivery fundamentals like dependency and stakeholder management.
- Ability to document complex workflows into clear, actionable checklists and procedures.
- Practical knowledge of internal controls, audit trails, and operational risk management.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheet software to analyze data and track project impact.
- Must have the legal right to work in Tallinn, Estonia, as relocation and visa support are not provided.
