Senior Software Engineer | Live Games at Wildlife Studios.
About the role
Join the Live Games Tech team to manage systems supporting millions of daily active users. You will drive architectural choices and maintain production environments with full autonomy and direct impact on game performance.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Design and build features for mobile and backend systems while balancing architectural trade-offs.
- Take full accountability for technical decisions, including performance, scalability, and system architecture.
- Manage production environments by monitoring metrics, iterating on code, and responding to incidents.
- Establish observability standards, including SLIs, alerts, and dashboards.
- Improve the codebase continuously as part of your daily workflow.
- Mentor other engineers through pair programming, technical discussions, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with product and design teams from the initial planning stages.
Requirements
- Proven experience building and maintaining production systems at scale.
- Deep knowledge of software architecture and system design.
- Practical experience with incident response, monitoring, and observability in live environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and improve team output.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Unity and C# for mobile development.
- Experience with Go and Kubernetes-based backend architectures.
- Familiarity with AWS infrastructure.
- Professional background in the gaming industry or high-traffic consumer applications.
