About the role
Wildlife Studios is seeking a Game Designer & Game Lead to drive the creation of new titles within our New Games team. You will oversee the full product lifecycle, from initial thesis and prototyping to global launch, helping us reach our goal of entertaining billions of players.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Propose game concepts based on market research that have the potential for long-term, mass-market appeal.
- Establish and maintain the product roadmap and vision, adjusting based on performance data.
- Draft technical specifications for core game features.
- Collaborate with art and distribution leads to determine the visual identity and theme of new projects.
- Evaluate design choices made by engineering and art departments.
- Manage delivery schedules across cross-functional teams including data science, art, and engineering.
- Utilize playtests, competitor research, and player feedback to guide product strategy.
- Monitor the success of feature releases and iterate on the roadmap accordingly.
Requirements
- Professional background in game or product design, including experience shipping titles or leading development in hackathons/game jams.
- Proven ability to analyze data to inform design decisions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Adaptability to work within fast-paced, iterative release cycles.
- A lifelong personal history of playing games.
Nice to have
- Prior experience launching mobile games.
- Ability to build your own prototypes through programming.
- Familiarity with AI tools for programming or art generation.
