Staff Platform Engineer

Wellhub is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our global infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, reliable, and cost-effective. This position offers the chance to work with modern cloud technologies and empower engineering teams.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Construct and enhance a global cloud platform using Kubernetes on AWS.
• Design and implement Kubernetes operators and other automation for cloud-native environments.
• Create tools and products that allow engineering teams to manage their cloud resources independently.
• Integrate security and compliance measures into products and DevSecOps workflows.
• Improve system observability, reliability, and cost management.
• Provide support to engineering teams on the usage of platform tools.
• Develop and maintain a modern CI/CD toolchain.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of Kubernetes clusters.
• Contribute to technical documentation, standards, and best practices.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in AWS services, Kubernetes, and software engineering.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes and its associated ecosystem.
• Comprehensive knowledge of observability systems.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code managed by operators, such as Crossplane or Kubernetes Operators.
• Proven ability to write production-ready software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for complex issues.
• Collaborative and learning-oriented approach.
• Proficiency in both English and Portuguese, spoken and written.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• CNCF Kubernetes Certifications (CKA, CKS, or CKAD).
• AWS certifications.
