Senior B2B Credit Policy Specialist

This role is central to shaping Wellhub's financial infrastructure, focusing on automated and scalable credit decisioning for our business clients. You will design and refine credit policies, employing data analysis to enhance automated processes and contribute to risk-based pricing strategies.

What you'll do

• Develop, implement, and review policies for B2B credit limits, including granting, managing, and expanding them.
• Track key performance indicators for the credit portfolio, such as overdue payments and bad debt.
• Analyze data to inform pricing strategies and adjust commercial terms based on risk profiles.
• Partner with the data team to build credit and behavioral scoring models tailored to Wellhub's business.
• Serve as an internal advisor to sales and customer success teams, balancing growth with financial stability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a similar quantitative field.
• Demonstrated experience in B2B credit risk, including creating credit policies, managing credit limits, and implementing risk-based pricing.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data retrieval and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Experience with automated decision systems and credit scoring models (application and behavioral).
• Strong understanding of corporate financial statements, particularly for small and medium-sized businesses.
• Familiarity with credit bureaus in Brazil (Serasa, Boa Vista, Quod) and the local financial regulatory environment.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to present data-driven strategies to senior leadership.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving in dynamic settings.

• Knowledge of Python.
• Experience building or calibrating credit scoring models.
• Familiarity with recurring revenue or SaaS business models.
