7CARD: Localization Specialist

About the role

This position focuses on adapting global communications for the Romanian market, ensuring they resonate culturally. You will be the primary linguistic and cultural expert for Romania, working to make our platform and messaging feel native to local users. Your contributions will directly impact user experience and Wellhub's expansion.

What you'll do

• Review and refine English to Romanian translations, verifying accuracy, tone, and local relevance.
• Perform quick translations of short-form content from English into Romanian for urgent requests.
• Manage localization projects with external translation agencies, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements and facilitate smooth content adaptation.
• Build relationships with translation vendors and local market contacts.
• Analyze content and creative concepts for cultural appropriateness and provide feedback.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of localization processes.
• Assess and monitor quality assurance metrics, offering constructive feedback.

Requirements

• Native proficiency in Romanian (ro-RO) and fluent/proficient English.
• Deep understanding of Romanian culture and market realities.
• Experience in the translation field, particularly with marketing materials.
• Familiarity with translation workflows, CAT tools, and quality review processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Romanian and English.
• Ability to adapt language effectively for product, marketing, and support content.
• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to quality.
• Capacity to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
• A proactive and adaptable mindset.

Nice to have

• Additional language skills, particularly French (fr-FR) or Dutch (nl-NL).
• Experience in translation project management or working with creative/production agencies.
