In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping individuals grasp complex financial concepts, collaborating closely with product teams to create engaging and intuitive user experiences. Your influence will extend to shaping product strategies from the initial stages, rather than merely refining the final output.

What you'll do
- Simplify complex investment subjects such as options, margin trading, and futures to ensure that both novice and seasoned investors can easily understand them.
- artificial intelligence in your daily tasks, from coding adjustments to prototyping and research, to enhance your contributions throughout the product development process.
- Collaborate with product and design teams at the early stages of significant projects to steer product direction and improve user experience.
- Improve team productivity and content quality by establishing content standards, creating reusable patterns, and developing workflows that incorporate AI-driven automation.
- Conduct user research to gather insights that inform content strategies and design decisions, ensuring that user needs are at the forefront of product development.
- Create and maintain documentation that outlines content guidelines and best practices, ensuring consistency across all product touchpoints.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on content design principles, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.
- Work closely with Marketing, Brand, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure that all messaging aligns with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze user feedback and data to continuously refine content strategies and improve user engagement with investment products.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to advocate for user-centered design and ensure that content considerations are integrated into all stages of product development.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to keep Wealthsimple at the forefront of content design in the financial sector.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in content design or UX writing, ideally in a senior or staff capacity.
- A demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, with a proven ability to quickly grasp and master new subjects.
- Practical experience in leveraging AI tools to enhance personal productivity or to support team initiatives.
- Familiarity with establishing content guidelines and integrating best practices into design systems.
- Strong ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed execution, ensuring that content aligns with broader business goals.
- Proven capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, making informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience mentoring and coaching team members, sharing knowledge and best practices effectively.
- Collaborative mindset with strong listening skills, focused on solving user challenges collectively.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Brand, Legal, and Compliance, to ensure cohesive messaging.
