Head of Logistics at Waymo.
About the role
Waymo is seeking a leader to oversee the transportation and distribution infrastructure for our autonomous driving technology. You will build and manage the logistics organization responsible for moving vehicles and sensitive hardware across our global deployment network.

What you'll do
- Architect and manage multi-modal transportation networks for the movement of autonomous vehicles and technical components.
- Build and mentor the logistics team, overseeing all hiring and organizational development.
- Manage logistics financial planning and implement strategies to reduce costs while maintaining operational speed.
- Develop protocols for reverse logistics, including sensor retrofitting, asset tracking, and return-to-vendor processes.
- Implement and integrate TMS and ERP systems to ensure data accuracy and supply chain visibility.
- Create frameworks for global trade compliance, including tariff mitigation and export control management.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in logistics leadership, specifically within autonomous vehicles, aerospace, electric vehicles, or tech-focused manufacturing.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling high-performing logistics teams from the ground up.
- Expertise in global transportation, including air and ocean freight, domestic trucking, and international customs regulations.
- Ability to balance long-term supply chain strategy with immediate operational execution.
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related quantitative field.
Nice to have
- Automotive industry background involving tier-1 supplier freight, vehicle transportation, or aftermarket distribution.
- Master degree or MBA specializing in global supply chain networks, logistics, or international trade.

Practical notes
- This role follows a hybrid work schedule.
- You will report to the Head of Vehicle/SDS Supply Planning & Materials.
- Base salary range: $238,000 to $294,000 USD.
- Compensation includes eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus, equity incentive plan, and company benefits.
