WatchGuard Technologies is currently seeking a seasoned Human Resources professional to assume temporary duties supporting the Director of Human Resources
Americas. This specific engagement is dedicated to ensuring continuity in compensation and HR operations while the primary director is unavailable. The scope of this position is concentrated on strategic compensation initiatives, including the design of merit and bonus frameworks, and requires a high level of analytical rigor. The ideal candidate will serve as a critical partner, utilizing advanced data analysis to inform compensation decisions for senior leadership.
This role is a focused contribution to the stability and strategic execution of the Americas HR function. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end compensation lifecycle, ensuring that all processes are accurate, timely, and aligned with organizational goals. Success in this position depends on the ability to manage complex projects, demonstrate exceptional analytical skills in spreadsheet environments, and maintain a meticulous approach to data handling. The position requires a proactive mindset and the ability to translate complex datasets into clear recommendations for executive stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities
The scope of work for this compensation coverage role is centered on process improvement and strategic analysis. You will be tasked with designing and implementing intake procedures for all compensation-related requests, ensuring data validation and accuracy at every stage. This includes the construction and management of annual merit structures and bonus administration frameworks, utilizing sophisticated analytical models within complex software environments.
A significant portion of the role involves market analysis and internal equity assessment. You will review current market benchmarks and evaluate internal compensation data to develop and justify pay recommendations for leadership positions. You will be responsible for delivering compensation packages that are competitive, fiscally sound, and fully aligned with the strategic objectives of the business. This requires close partnership with senior leaders to ensure that workforce data is transformed into actionable and informed decisions.
Project management is a core component of this position. You will establish and monitor timelines for compensation cycles, ensuring that all deliverables meet strict regulatory and compliance standards. The role also encompasses support for performance review initiatives, including the coordination of feedback collection and the maintenance of comprehensive documentation. A key duty is the preservation of system integrity for all HR platforms that manage sensitive payroll and personnel data, requiring a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this coverage role, you must bring a proven track record of managing compensation projects within corporate environments. A minimum of three to five years of direct experience in compensation administration is essential. Candidates must demonstrate mastery of advanced spreadsheet applications, including the ability to model complex financial scenarios and perform detailed data analysis.
Exceptional attention to detail is non-negotiable, particularly when managing confidential and sensitive personnel information. You must be highly comfortable interfacing directly with executive leadership, utilizing metrics and data visualization to guide strategic choices. Strong project management skills are required to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, prior experience working within the technology sector is highly preferred. Candidates with a history of navigating the specific compensation structures and fast-paced environments common to tech companies will have a distinct advantage. A deep understanding of technology sector compensation trends is valuable for providing context to your analysis.
Tools and Compensation
Proficiency in specific tools is essential for success in this role. You will utilize Microsoft Excel to perform advanced data manipulation and financial modeling. Experience with Workday or similar Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms is necessary to manage and report on personnel data effectively.
The compensation package for this role is established at a rate between $140,000 and $160,000 USD for the 2024 engagement. This is a regular full-time position offering remote flexibility for the successful candidate.
