Senior Video Producer

About the role

The Vox Media Podcast Network is looking for a creative lead to manage video production for a high-profile slate of shows. You will help build the visual identity for new projects and support the ongoing video needs of our existing podcast lineup.

What you'll do

• Develop and launch new video-first shows by providing creative direction and production support to podcast teams.
• Edit longform video episodes for YouTube, handling various production styles including studio, remote, and hybrid setups.
• Adapt podcast content into shortform clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Create and manage visual assets like motion graphics, captions, and lower-thirds to ensure brand consistency.
• Oversee freelance editors and designers by assigning tasks, providing feedback, and maintaining quality standards.
• Write and refine scripts in partnership with show hosts and editorial staff.
• Coordinate with social and audience development teams to align content with platform performance goals.
• Monitor industry trends to keep our video output competitive and engaging.

Requirements

• 6 to 8+ years of experience in digital video production with a focus on editorial or creator-driven content.
• Proven ability to produce both longform and shortform video for interview-based formats.
• Expertise in Adobe Premiere.
• Experience managing freelancers or external vendors to ensure timely delivery.
• Strong editorial judgment and scriptwriting skills.
• Deep knowledge of platform ecosystems including YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in After Effects or similar motion design software.
