Associate Director, Experiential

About the role

Vox Media Group is seeking an experienced professional to lead the development and execution of custom events, franchises, and tentpole programs. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of experiential projects, from initial creative concepts and budget planning to on-site production and client delivery.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Partner with Experiential leadership, Vox Creative, Network development, editorial, and sales teams to build integrated programs around cultural moments and launches.
• Oversee event production logistics, including P&L management, budget tracking, venue selection, talent booking, guest engagement, and sponsor activations.
• Contribute to the creation of sponsor packages and go-to-market strategies for key franchises.
• Lead internal brainstorms and develop visual presentations for RFPs, RFIs, and proactive event pitches.
• Manage the execution of high-profile activations, including those at the Tribeca Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival.
• Coordinate with marketing and design departments to develop guest lists and drive attendance.
• Mentor junior staff members and monitor industry trends to keep event strategies current.

Requirements

• Ability to lead as a senior producer for complex editorial initiatives and marketing partnerships.
• Strong proficiency in budget development, P&L tracking, and production scheduling.
• Experience managing client relationships and internal stakeholder communication.
• Demonstrated skill in creative writing and visual presentation development.
