PMO Manager

About the role

This role is central to managing and providing visibility for a portfolio of transformation initiatives. You will ensure that projects are aligned with strategic goals, resources are effectively allocated, and potential risks are identified and addressed to guarantee successful delivery.

What you'll do

• Translate complex project data into clear reports for senior leadership, highlighting progress, budget status, and alignment with business objectives.
• Conduct in-depth analysis to support executive decision-making, moving beyond simple status updates.
• Lead reviews of project pipelines to ensure optimal allocation of talent and capital towards high-priority efforts.
• Maintain a balanced portfolio of initiatives, encompassing ongoing operations, growth projects, and strategic transformations.
• Oversee performance evaluations for all planned initiative deliveries, confirming adherence to quality and timeline standards.
• Identify and resolve dependencies and obstacles across different workstreams to maintain project momentum.
• Manage the risk register, facilitating reviews to ensure all potential threats have proactive mitigation plans.
• Act as a primary point for risk assessment, escalating critical issues to senior management with proposed solutions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for project management methodologies, guiding project leads on best practices.
• Continuously assess and improve PMO processes and tools to enhance efficiency and adoption.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a PMO or project management leadership capacity, preferably within a large-scale transformation setting.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically while paying close attention to details in risk logs and financial reporting.
• Proven skill in influencing and engaging with senior initiative owners and executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project management frameworks.
