Join the Innovation and Engineering Center California to contribute to applied research projects for brands including Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti, and Porsche. This fellowship focuses on developing perception and machine learning solutions for autonomous driving and automotive manufacturing. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary group of scientists and engineers to advance vehicle technology.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Prepare and clean data sets, including label verification and formatting.
- Assist in the construction of data pipelines for deep neural network training.
- Evaluate and document the performance metrics of various neural network models.
- Investigate network architectures for anomaly detection and time series prediction.
- Explore optical sensor improvements to enhance environmental perception.
- Study supervised and unsupervised learning to calculate the depth, velocity, and motion of road users.
- Analyze neural networks for panoptic segmentation, object detection, and motion planning.
- Integrate multiple neural networks to optimize computational efficiency and memory usage.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a Masters or PhD program or graduation within the last six months.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Practical experience with Linux environments.
- Hands-on work with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Understanding of machine learning and image processing principles.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
