Vizx Global is seeking a dedicated Compliance & Credentialing Specialist to join our team in Nairobi. What you'll do
- Oversee the compliance processes for all healthcare professionals within the organization, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations.
- Conduct thorough background checks and verification of credentials for new hires, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of all employee credentials, licenses, and certifications to facilitate easy access and tracking.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify compliance training needs and develop training programs to address these gaps.
- Monitor changes in healthcare regulations and standards, providing updates and recommendations to management as necessary.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and regulatory agencies, addressing any inquiries or issues that may arise.
- Implement and maintain internal policies and procedures related to compliance and credentialing, ensuring they are up to date and effective.
- Conduct regular audits of compliance processes and credentialing files to identify areas for improvement and ensure ongoing adherence to standards.
- Assist in the development of compliance-related materials and resources for staff to promote awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support organizational initiatives related to compliance and quality assurance.
- Provide support during accreditation processes, ensuring that all documentation and evidence of compliance is readily available.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, credentialing, or a related role within the healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and policies.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with compliance management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Certification in healthcare compliance (CHC) or credentialing (CPC) is a plus.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare information technology.
- Familiarity with international healthcare regulations and standards.
