Key facts

What you'll do

• Develop and enhance scalable microservices using Golang to support core functions like eligibility, billing, and client interactions.
• Automate and improve operational procedures to minimize manual data handling and increase the reliability of member and client information.
• Create self-service tools that empower finance and operations teams to manage their own processes and configurations.
• Maintain the accuracy, consistency, and traceability of data for members, clients, and operations to inform decisions and reporting.
• Collaborate with data and AI specialists to investigate and implement AI solutions for data validation and process automation.
• Build and maintain APIs that facilitate data exchange between Virta and its customers.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience writing and deploying backend code in a production environment, with a focus on data-intensive systems.
• Proven experience building microservices in a live production setting.
• Familiarity with data and event-driven architectures, including API development, SQL/NoSQL databases, and message queues.
• Proficiency in Golang.
• Experience with a major cloud provider like Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
• Strong communication abilities and a track record of interacting effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A mindset that prioritizes long-term impact and engineering quality.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI tools to improve development efficiency or data processing.
• Basic frontend development skills.
• Prior work in regulated industries such as healthcare, fintech, or similar fields where data integrity is critical.

• This is a remote position.
