Data Engineer, Measurement & Reporting

About the role

Vibe is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team, focusing on measurement and reporting. This role involves building and maintaining the data pipelines that power Vibe's product features and advertiser reporting. You will ensure data accuracy and availability, working closely with the infrastructure team.

What you'll do

• Implement schema changes to support new product functionalities without affecting existing systems
• Manage data movement and transformations between tables as reporting and product needs change
• Maintain the accuracy of reporting pipelines to provide advertisers with correct and current campaign performance data
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies by tracing them to their original sources
• Collaborate with the Data Platform team to understand the underlying storage and compute systems
• Identify potential scaling or data quality issues before they become incidents

Requirements

• Practical experience with production data pipelines, beyond ad-hoc analysis
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in data modeling and schema design
• Experience with an orchestration tool like Dagster or Airflow, or a transformation tool such as dbt
• Ability to translate unclear requests into clear, actionable plans
• Comfort working in a rapidly evolving, high-growth environment

Nice to have

• Exposure to column-store analytics engines like ClickHouse
• Familiarity with streaming systems such as Kafka
• Background in AdTech or programmatic advertising

• This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week in the Paris office.
