Senior Software Engineer, Customer Portal

About the role

The Customer Portal team manages the self-serve platform used by thousands of enterprise and SaaS clients to oversee their identity verification operations. You will take ownership of features across the full stack, focusing on frontend development while maintaining the Node.js services that power the customer lifecycle. This role involves balancing high-volume self-serve requirements with the complex needs of large-scale accounts.

What you'll do

• Architect a multi-product engine to support 10+ services, including billing and configuration logic for automated customer onboarding.
• Design abstractions that handle complex service level agreements for enterprise clients without impacting platform performance.
• Modernize legacy infrastructure, specifically targeting high-traffic session lists and decision profiles.
• Coordinate architectural consistency across Identity, Fraud, and Trust product lines.
• Implement AI-enhanced workflows to automate tasks and increase team delivery speed.
• Manage the full product lifecycle, including database changes, API development, and production debugging.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building feature-rich web applications.
• Deep proficiency in modern JavaScript, TypeScript, and the React ecosystem.
• Working knowledge of backend Node.js applications and REST API design.
• Proven experience owning a product area, service, or migration from start to finish.
• Experience with production service management, including on-call duties, monitoring, and incident response.
• Ability to modernize legacy systems incrementally while maintaining uptime.
• Strong product sense to understand business requirements beyond technical tickets.
