About the role
The Biometric Authentication team builds real-time systems to confirm user identities through facial recognition, liveness detection, and behavior analysis. We are looking for a senior engineer to design and scale these core verification services while maintaining high standards for security and system performance.

What you'll do
- Architect and evolve critical product components with a focus on long-term maintainability and security.
- Lead the development of high-throughput, real-time matching services and robust event-driven infrastructure.
- Establish engineering best practices and mentor team members to improve overall output.
- Collaborate with ML data scientists and product managers to translate complex identity challenges into functional solutions.
- Develop and maintain scalable APIs that support both internal teams and external clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience building and operating large-scale applications, preferably using Python.
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems, modular design, and SOLID principles.
- Experience with message-queuing systems and API development.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, system monitoring, and production-grade observability.
- Familiarity with various testing methodologies to ensure software reliability.
- Practical understanding of relational databases and structured logging.
- Strong communication skills to influence technical direction and explain concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to balance technical requirements with product goals.
- Demonstrated history of mentoring others.
Nice to have
- Experience working with mobile or web SDKs (iOS, Android, Web).
- Background in B2B or SaaS product development.
