Senior Software Engineer

About the role

The Biometric Authentication team builds real-time systems to confirm user identities through facial recognition, liveness detection, and behavior analysis. We are looking for a senior engineer to design and scale these core verification services while maintaining high standards for security and system performance.

What you'll do

• Architect and evolve critical product components with a focus on long-term maintainability and security.
• Lead the development of high-throughput, real-time matching services and robust event-driven infrastructure.
• Establish engineering best practices and mentor team members to improve overall output.
• Collaborate with ML data scientists and product managers to translate complex identity challenges into functional solutions.
• Develop and maintain scalable APIs that support both internal teams and external clients.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and operating large-scale applications, preferably using Python.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, modular design, and SOLID principles.
• Experience with message-queuing systems and API development.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, system monitoring, and production-grade observability.
• Familiarity with various testing methodologies to ensure software reliability.
• Practical understanding of relational databases and structured logging.
• Strong communication skills to influence technical direction and explain concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to balance technical requirements with product goals.
• Demonstrated history of mentoring others.

Nice to have

• Experience working with mobile or web SDKs (iOS, Android, Web).
• Background in B2B or SaaS product development.
