About the role

Key facts
What you'll do
- Examine and assess instances of suspected fraud impacting Veriff's clientele.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of fraud prevention strategies to ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
- Create and refine new strategies and defenses against evolving fraud tactics, while minimizing incorrect identifications.
- Communicate findings and recommend improvements to internal and external partners, supporting product readiness.
- Analyze risk situations, pinpoint system weaknesses, and suggest remedies to deter fraud.
- Work collaboratively across departments to enhance fraud detection processes and the overall quality of our fraud products.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in fraud analysis, risk assessment, or compliance areas like AML/KYC.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with an aptitude for recognizing patterns in extensive datasets.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as SQL and visualization platforms like Tableau or Looker.
- A foundational understanding of risk evaluation, with the ability to anticipate potential fraud scenarios and propose suitable actions.
- Experience in designing and deploying fraud detection methods and countermeasures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities for effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Capacity for critical thinking, identifying system vulnerabilities, and recommending corrective measures.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a thorough grasp of fraud methodologies and current trends.
- Experience in assessing risk scenarios and providing recommendations based on data.
- Self-motivated, curious, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- A commitment to staying current with the latest fraud detection technologies and practices.

- This is a fully remote position within eligible locations in the USA.
