About the role Vercel is seeking engineers to enhance the functionality and reliability of our infrastructure. You will focus on scaling our edge services by collaborating with backend and product teams to build automation and solve complex technical challenges. Key facts

Design, implement, and troubleshoot systems within a production environment
Manage deployment, routing, and serving processes for our user base
Maintain infrastructure for networking, TLS termination, storage, and caching
Develop tools to protect the platform and customers from abuse
Work across our own infrastructure and external cloud provider services Requirements
Minimum 5 years of professional experience
Proficiency in Golang
Deep knowledge of high-performance cloud system scaling
Understanding of network protocols and web server architecture
Interest in managing petabyte-scale data and billions of requests Nice to have
Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes
Familiarity with Lua, React, and Next.js Skills & tools

Base salary range in San Francisco is $196,000 to $294,000, adjusted based on location and experience
Total compensation includes equity, benefits, and potential variable pay
