Principal Product Manager, Transportation

About the role

You will lead the product strategy and execution for the technology powering Veho's first and middle-mile logistics. This role involves managing the full transportation management system suite, including lane management, carrier integrations, and shipment tracking to optimize network performance.

What you'll do

• Define the 1 to 2 year technology roadmap for transportation, determining investment priorities for moving packages between facilities.
• Manage the area-level metric framework and lead weekly and monthly business reviews to drive data-informed decisions.
• Allocate engineering resources across the portfolio and oversee the quality of routing engines and transportation management systems.
• Supervise and mentor Senior Product Managers, focusing on organizational design and strategic output.
• Utilize AI tools and prototyping to build solutions directly, setting a high velocity for the rest of the team.

Requirements

• 8 or more years of experience in product management.
• Direct experience building or owning transportation technology, specifically middle-mile routing or linehaul systems.
• Proven ability to improve core logistics metrics such as truck utilization, network costs, and on-time delivery.
• Expertise in systems thinking, with the ability to translate complex operational dependencies into technical requirements.
• Strong writing capability, specifically in creating strategy documents and PR/FAQs that require little editing.
• Experience managing, leading, and developing high-performing product teams.
• A bias for action with a low tolerance for bureaucracy and a hands-on approach to prototyping.
