AI Consultant - Pharmacovigilance/Safety Systems Implementation

About the role

Veeva is seeking an AI-focused Implementation Consultant to join the Professional Services team. You will guide life sciences organizations through the adoption of AI agents within the Vault Safety platform, ensuring these technologies meet strict regulatory and compliance standards.

What you'll do

• Advise clients on AI strategy, focusing on governance and oversight for AI agents in safety workflows.
• Create testing and validation frameworks to ensure AI compliance with GxP and computer system validation standards.
• Develop dashboards and metrics to monitor the throughput and accuracy of AI agents.
• Master Vault Safety functionality and pharmacovigilance regulations to bridge technical AI concepts with compliance requirements.
• Conduct workshops for requirements gathering, system configuration, and process optimization.
• Perform gap analyses and lead the full implementation lifecycle for AI-driven solutions.
• Drive customer success by identifying opportunities for innovation and translating industry trends into actionable tasks.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in implementation or strategic consulting, specifically in operationalizing AI solutions.
• Background in strictly regulated sectors such as healthcare, finance, insurance, aerospace, or life sciences.
• Practical experience building AI governance models, oversight protocols, and performance tracking metrics.
• Ability to rapidly learn complex industry domains and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in translating business needs into software configurations.
• Strong communication skills for managing stakeholders and explaining technical concepts to diverse teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with drug safety and pharmacovigilance regulations.
• Experience leading global system implementation programs.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Argus, ARISg, or other safety, signal detection, and reporting applications.
• Degree in computer science, life sciences, or a related field.
• Experience with SaaS or cloud-based platforms.
• Background in systems implementation or services delivery management.
• Proximity to major life sciences hubs including New Jersey, San Francisco, San Diego, Philadelphia, Chicago, RTP, Indianapolis, or Columbus.

Practical notes

• Compensation: Base salary range of $70,000 to $140,000, plus potential variable or stock bonuses.
• Visa: Veeva does not anticipate providing employment visa sponsorship for this position.
