Vanta is seeking a Customer Success Manager to oversee key State, Local, and Education (SLED) accounts. This role involves guiding high-value public sector clients to achieve their security objectives, ensuring their continued success and expanding Vanta's impact within government agencies. You will act as a strategic advisor, driving value and fostering growth for complex public sector organizations.

What you'll do
- Manage high-profile SLED accounts as the primary client advocate.
- Coordinate across Vanta's Product, Engineering, Security, and Legal teams to ensure successful onboarding and implementation.
- Advise customers on aligning Vanta's platform with their mission needs, industry trends, and executive priorities.
- Collaborate with Public Sector Account Managers to develop and execute multi-year account strategies, focusing on adoption and expansion.
- Lead Executive Business Reviews, both in-person and virtually, to demonstrate value and strategic alignment.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential churn risks while discovering opportunities for account expansion using data.
- Represent customer feedback to influence Vanta's product roadmap, go-to-market strategy, and support model for public sector clients.
- Travel monthly for client visits, executive meetings, and strategic planning.
Requirements
- 8+ years in customer success, including prior Public Sector CSM experience with large, complex organizations focused on IT modernization and adoption.
- Demonstrated success managing high-value SLED and enterprise accounts, leading to customer satisfaction, renewals, and growth.
- In-depth knowledge of public sector procurement and compliance frameworks such as GovRAMP, NIST, and CJIS.
- Strong executive presence and communication skills, with experience engaging senior public officials and agency leaders.
- Expertise in SaaS and GRC solutions, advising on risk management and regulatory trends.
- Ability to quantify business value through ROI analysis and outcome-based reporting.
- Experience driving customer success through transformation initiatives, guiding public sector clients in adopting cloud and security technologies.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance.
- Skill in translating technical and regulatory concepts into actionable strategies for non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and storytelling abilities, using data to identify risks and growth opportunities.
- Experience advocating for public sector customers, influencing product roadmaps, or participating in advisory boards.
- Openness to using AI to enhance skills, demonstrating curiosity and sound judgment in its application.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship.
