About the role
Vanta seeks a meticulous Senior General Ledger Accountant to bolster its Accounting department. This position will manage a wide array of general ledger tasks, ensuring precision in financial record-keeping. The ideal candidate will be adept at analysis and problem-solving within a dynamic setting.
Key facts
What you'll do
Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation for various general ledger accounts.
Collaborate with departments like FP&A, Payroll, and PeopleOps to guarantee financial data accuracy and completeness.
Support financial closing processes by examining results, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring accurate reporting.
Conduct variance analyses on key accounts, using data tools to identify trends and anomalies.
Propose and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
Assist with external audits, special projects, and system implementations.
Requirements
Possess at least 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or a comparable function.
Hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Demonstrate a solid grasp of US GAAP, financial reporting standards, and internal control frameworks.
Exhibit advanced proficiency in Excel, with experience managing substantial datasets.
Have practical experience with accounting ERP systems.
Be authorized to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship requirements.
Nice to have
Experience in the SaaS industry, particularly in rapidly expanding companies.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
Familiarity with AI-enabled tools for accounting tasks.
Experience with NetSuite.
