Director, Communications

About the role

Vanta is seeking a Director of Communications to shape and share our company narrative with the world. This role will be instrumental in elevating our brand presence and market standing across various platforms and audiences. You will be a key contributor to our growing Communications & Content team, focusing on external and internal storytelling.

What you'll do

Develop and implement comprehensive external communication strategies, collaborating with product marketing, content, analyst relations, and leadership.

Manage relationships with PR agency partners to execute media outreach across global business, technology, and security publications, including digital platforms and podcasts.

Expand and diversify thought leadership on AI, security, and the future of trust, identifying new avenues for brand awareness.

Integrate Vanta's first-party data storytelling, known as Trust Signals, into executive communications and earned media.

Partner with cross-functional teams on external events and brand marketing initiatives to highlight Vanta's leadership in Agentic Trust.

Create and execute internal communication plans, including company-wide meetings and internal newsletters, to foster alignment.

Collaborate with operations, marketing, and leadership on initiatives to enhance organizational efficiency and communication.

Apply AI tools judiciously to scale communication efforts and maximize impact.

Requirements

Possess 10-12+ years of experience in communications, gained through in-house roles, agency work, or a combination.

Demonstrate extensive relationships with new and traditional media, strong writing capabilities, and a keen understanding of AI, B2B, SaaS, and security trends.

Exhibit enthusiasm for experimenting with AI in communication strategies.

Be a proactive individual adept at collaborating across departments to achieve alignment and clarity.

Show curiosity and a willingness to learn, applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and outcomes.
