About the role
Vanta is expanding its Early Stage Sales team and seeking a driven Account Executive to manage the full sales cycle for new business. This role focuses on high-volume, transactional sales, helping early-stage companies adopt Vanta's security and compliance automation platform. You will play a key part in positioning Vanta as the leading solution for startups navigating their initial security needs.

What you'll do
- Identify promising business sectors and create outbound strategies to engage them with Vanta.
- Oversee the entire sales process, from initial contact to closing deals, aiming for a 30-day close timeframe.
- Convert inbound leads into closed business quickly and consistently across numerous prospects.
- Operate in a fast-paced sales environment, conducting many discovery calls and managing a large pipeline of opportunities.
- Continuously refine your sales methods to maintain high activity, improve conversion rates, and deliver consistent results.
- Articulate Vanta's value to prospects, customizing sales materials and demonstrations for early-stage startup buyers.
- Gather product feedback and market trends from prospects to inform future go-to-market and product development plans.
Requirements
- At least 12 months in a closing, quota-carrying sales position, with a history of consistently exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in B2B SaaS, particularly with SMB or early-stage startups, where short sales cycles and high activity are common.
- Thrives in fast-paced sales environments, energized by repetition, quick decisions, and a transactional sales approach.
- Demonstrates strong customer empathy, with a proven record of fostering long-term customer retention.
- Possesses the technical aptitude to understand Vanta's software and build rapport with technical prospects.
- Exhibits excellent problem-solving abilities and a desire to make a significant impact early in a startup environment.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful, comfortable taking initiative without constant direction.
- Open to using AI to enhance skills and work, showing curiosity and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly for efficiency.
Practical notes
This is a hybrid role based in the Dublin office, with required in-office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
