About the role
Vanda Pharmaceuticals is seeking a developer to build and manage web interfaces that support our mission. You will focus on creating responsive, accessible applications while ensuring high performance across all browsers.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Build and maintain web interfaces using Vue, React, and TypeScript.
- Convert design concepts into functional, clean code.
- Enhance application speed and scalability.
- Connect front-end components to GraphQL and RESTful APIs.
- Manage state, routing, and component architecture.
- Perform unit testing and participate in code reviews.
- Work with designers to ensure visual consistency.
- Debug technical issues and improve performance.
- Help develop and evolve design systems and component libraries.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience in front-end development.
- Proficiency in Vue or React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and ES6+ JavaScript.
- Experience with state management tools like Redux or Zustand.
- Knowledge of responsive design and styling methods such as Tailwind CSS or Styled Components.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, and asynchronous programming.
- Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and SEO.
- Experience with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
Nice to have
- Background in the healthcare, biotech, or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Proficiency with frameworks like Next.js or Nuxt.
- Experience with testing tools such as Jest, Cypress, or React Testing Library.
- History of building enterprise applications or data visualization dashboards.
- Experience working with component libraries or design systems.
