This position focuses on developing predictive maintenance solutions for industrial equipment. You will apply advanced data science and machine learning to sensor data, turning raw signals into valuable operational insights.

What you'll do
- Build signal processing systems and machine learning models for electrical, vibration, and acoustic sensor data.
- Assess model effectiveness using both quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback.
- Conduct in-depth data exploration, feature creation, and signal analysis to identify equipment issues.
- Analyze signals from electrical monitoring systems for motors, generators, and pumps to aid in fault detection.
- Integrate data from various sensors like temperature and speed to confirm diagnostic findings.
- Apply data-driven methods to pinpoint faults at different equipment levels and determine root causes.
- Manage the full machine learning lifecycle, from data intake to model deployment and ongoing performance tracking.
- Work with engineering and product teams to transform business needs into data science projects.
- Share findings, model performance, and business impact through reports and presentations.
- Research and recommend new signal processing and AI techniques for implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Acoustical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or signal processing, with a focus on electrical or industrial sensor data.
- Prior experience in Industrial Equipment, Power Systems, Electrical Machine Diagnostics, or Condition Monitoring.
- Practical experience with time-series and signal processing methods, including spectral analysis and feature extraction.
- Proficiency in Python, including NumPy, SciPy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Understanding of electrical measurement and analysis processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for ambiguous data challenges.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting technical information to diverse audiences.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a similar field.
- Experience with Electrical Signature Analysis (ESA) or Motor Current Signature Analysis (MCSA).
- Knowledge of rotating machinery fault physics.
- Proven ability to manage an ML model from development to production.
- Familiarity with multi-sensor signal fusion.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and MLOps tools.
- Exposure to physics-informed modeling.
- Contributions to the signal processing or data science community.
