About the role
This position involves managing an 11 billion dollar investment portfolio and overseeing the operational processes behind it. You will handle monthly reporting, deal settlements, and the automation roadmap for the Risk Capital team while mentoring two junior analysts.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Execute the end-to-end monthly cycle, including performance reporting and investment settlement.
- Calculate and verify amounts owed between the company and investors, coordinating with the investor-facing team for final settlement.
- Track portfolio value, performance, and risk metrics for Finance and Treasury leadership.
- Collaborate with internal departments including Capital Markets, Accounting, Treasury, and Audit to onboard new deals and address investor inquiries.
- Direct automation initiatives to modernize team workflows using AI tools.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to two junior analysts regarding financial modeling and data analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or equivalent practical experience in engineering, mathematics, economics, finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience within capital markets, structured finance, portfolio management, or investment management.
- Proven ability to develop and audit financial or cash-flow models using spreadsheet software.
- Experience performing data analysis and querying using SQL or similar languages.
Nice to have
- Background in marketplace lending, asset-backed investments, or consumer loans such as auto, personal, or home-equity products.
- Proficiency in Python and practical application of AI tools for reporting or modeling automation.
- Understanding of investment risk monitoring and return distribution across various deal structures.
- Experience managing reporting, settlements, or relationships for institutional investors.
- Skill in communicating complex financial data to senior stakeholders.
- History of leading automation or process improvement projects in an analytics or finance setting.

Practical notes
- Anticipated base salary range is 133,400 to 212,300 USD, depending on geographic location and individual qualifications.
- Total compensation includes target bonuses, equity grants vesting quarterly, and a 401k plan with a 2-for-1 company match up to 15,000 USD annually.
