Lifecycle Marketing Manager at Upstart.
About the role
You will manage lifecycle marketing strategy for previous Personal Loan applicants to drive engagement and loan funding. This role involves building multi-channel customer journeys and collaborating with product and engineering teams to scale growth.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the strategy and performance of marketing programs across email, SMS, push notifications, and ringless voicemail.
- Launch and optimize customer journeys to improve re-engagement and revenue.
- Analyze funnel performance to forecast business impact and suggest improvements.
- Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Creative, and Product Marketing to execute initiatives.
- Test audience segmentation, channel mix, and messaging frequency.
- Maintain campaigns within Iterable while ensuring high-quality execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of B2C lifecycle marketing experience in performance-driven programs.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise marketing automation platforms like Iterable, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Adobe Campaign.
- Experience using analytics or business intelligence tools for conversion funnel analysis and forecasting.
- Experience translating business requirements into marketing programs through cross-functional partnership.
Nice to have
- Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
- Proficiency with customer data platforms such as Hightouch.
- Experience using AI-powered decisioning or personalization.
- Ability to build experimentation strategies across audience segments and channels.
- Skills in using generative AI tools for campaign planning, analysis, and content development.

Practical notes
- The team operates on East/West coast time zones.
- Employees are expected to attend in-person team onsites, typically once or twice per quarter for 2-4 days.
- Compensation includes base pay, target bonuses, and equity grants that vest quarterly.
