Head of Lifecycle Marketing, Core Products at Upstart.
About the role
You will oversee the lifecycle strategy for Upstart's Personal Loan and Small Dollar Loan products. This leadership position involves managing a team of marketers while collaborating across product, creative, and analytics departments to optimize customer journeys and drive revenue.

What you'll do
- Define the lifecycle marketing strategy, roadmap, and execution for core lending products to meet revenue targets.
- Lead, mentor, and hire a team of Lifecycle Marketing Managers.
- Build and refine customer journeys using AI-powered decisioning, segmentation, and personalization.
- Coordinate with Product, Creative, Product Marketing, Analytics, and Growth Marketing to integrate customer experiences.
- Forecast revenue, track funnel performance, and report business outcomes to senior leadership.
- Improve lifecycle operations by enhancing audience strategy and team efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of B2C lifecycle marketing experience.
- 3+ years of direct people management experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience using enterprise marketing automation platforms to build customer journeys.
- Experience managing performance-driven programs with ownership of revenue goals, forecasting, and funnel analysis.
Nice to have
- Experience with high-consideration consumer products or complex customer journeys.
- Background in financial services or other highly regulated sectors.
- Proficiency with customer data platforms for audience activation.
- Experience utilizing experimentation frameworks and AI-enabled marketing tools.

Practical notes
- Time zone requirements: The team operates on East and West Coast time zones.
- Travel: While digital-first, the role requires periodic in-person collaboration. Teams typically meet 1-2 times per quarter for 2-4 days.
- Compensation: Includes base pay, target bonuses, and annual equity grants vesting quarterly.
