Lead Product Manager, Autonomous Vehicle Integrations
Job description
Lead Product Manager, Autonomous Vehicle Integrations at Uber
About the role
Uber is committed to developing the necessary platforms, tools, and infrastructure that enable our autonomy partners to deploy their technologies effectively and serve riders on a large scale. As the leading on-demand mobility and delivery service globally, Uber possesses significant expertise in marketplace management and fleet operations, positioning us uniquely to assist partners in commercializing autonomous technologies worldwide. We are laying the groundwork for vehicle integration, fleet management, and rider experiences to ensure the success of autonomy in practical applications.
As we broaden our autonomous vehicle deployments internationally, the design of vehicle platforms becomes increasingly critical. In the position of Lead Product Manager for Autonomous Vehicle Platforms, you will play an essential role in shaping how autonomous vehicles are designed to function within the Uber ecosystem. You will establish the technical requirements necessary for vehicles to operate as high-duty cycle, high-reliability robotaxis on our platform. Your specifications will influence production vehicles across various generations and global markets. You will also define how Uber's systems interact with autonomous vehicle technologies, setting the standards for their integration, operation, and scalability.
You will collaborate with a talented cross-functional team that includes vehicle strategy, engineering, design, operations, and external partners to translate strategic objectives into actionable vehicle requirements and integration decisions. Additionally, you will act as the primary technical product owner during discussions with partners and OEMs, making critical system requirements decisions that will have long-term impacts.
This position is well-suited for a product leader with substantial expertise in vehicle systems, a history of bringing intricate hardware products to market, and the discernment to make lasting platform decisions in complex and high-pressure situations.
