Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

This position involves bridging the gap between our enterprise clients and our product development. You will create prototypes for key opportunities, helping to speed up sales and guide product evolution through real-world customer feedback. This role is for someone who enjoys direct client interaction and quickly turning complex business needs into functional software.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Develop and deliver prototypes for important enterprise deals to accelerate sales and reduce risks.
• Interact directly with enterprise clients to understand their specific needs, workflows, and technical setups.
• Provide technical support for enterprise deals, connecting customer requirements with product capabilities.
• Translate client needs into clear technical specifications and actionable insights for product development.
• Work with Product and Engineering teams to incorporate field learnings into the product roadmap.
• Validate new product initiatives by building and iterating on prototypes with customers.
• Identify common patterns across client engagements and help integrate them into the product.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders in Sales, Product, Engineering, and customer organizations.
• Contribute to architecture and solution discussions with practical, customer-informed engineering perspectives.
• Engage in ongoing field engineering initiatives, including supporting new product launches, validating customer use cases, and establishing scalable practices for Forward Deployed Engineering.

Requirements

• Significant full-stack engineering experience, including the ability to quickly build and deploy solutions.
• Solid experience designing and using APIs and integrating different systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern application architecture.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers and managing their technical requirements.
• A strong sense of ownership, capable of independently driving projects from initial concept to completion.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate between technical and business stakeholders.
• A customer-focused mindset, with genuine interest in understanding customer problems and workflows.
• Comfortable operating in dynamic, rapidly changing environments where priorities can shift.
• Strong collaboration skills across Sales, Product, and Engineering functions.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in a Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or similar client-facing technical role.
• Experience working in a product-led SaaS company.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM technologies and developing AI-powered solutions.
• Experience working in startup or high-growth environments.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
