Senior Programming & Development Manager, Twitch Rivals at Twitch.
About the role
The Community Originals team is looking for a manager to oversee the Twitch Rivals content calendar and lead partnership discussions with publishers, creators, and brands. You will report to the Director of Production and Events to shape competitive entertainment strategies while collaborating with internal sales and business development groups.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Design the Twitch Rivals schedule and produce competitive content for gaming communities.
- Define and execute the overarching program strategy.
- Analyze event performance data to identify and present growth opportunities.
- Direct production vendors to ensure event execution meets publisher, brand, and streamer priorities.
- Create and maintain detailed event briefs for the internal team.
- Partner with Amazon Sales to develop pitch decks for potential brand sponsors.
- Manage ongoing relationships with game publishers to foster long-term collaboration.
- Coordinate across Marketing, Public Relations, Business Development, Analytics, and Broadcast Operations departments.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience in gaming, esports, or professional sports events.
- Background working with sales teams in pre-sale or post-sale capacities to activate brand-focused concepts.
- Proficiency in understanding diverse gaming mechanics and competition structures.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to present and pitch programs.
- Ability to document strategy and intent with high attention to detail.
Nice to have
- Experience distinguishing between specific game genres, such as hero FPS versus tactical FPS.
- Familiarity with the Twitch platform as a viewer or streamer.
- Active engagement with current gaming culture and streamers.

Practical notes
- Salary: $118,000 to $206,500 (San Francisco) or $107,300 to $187,700 (Los Angeles).
- Compensation includes base salary, sign-on payments, and restricted stock units.
