Senior Product Manager, Platform Core Engineering at Twitch.
About the role
You will manage the foundational systems and developer tools that power Twitch engineering. This role requires a technical mindset to earn the trust of internal developers while driving the adoption of platform products.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Create the roadmap and strategy for a platform area, balancing immediate needs with long-term technical goals.
- Engage with developers to understand their workflows and prioritize features that improve their efficiency.
- Partner with Principal Engineers and Senior Engineering Managers to build a unified platform ecosystem.
- Establish and track key platform performance metrics.
- Coordinate across teams to resolve conflicts and explain technical trade-offs.
- Manage full-cycle product launches, including documentation, migration plans, and adoption strategies.
- Collaborate with MLOps, data science, and ML infrastructure teams.
- Use and promote modern AI development tools, including agents, MCPs, and context tooling.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product management with a focus on technical products.
- Practical experience building with modern AI development tools.
- Understanding of AI architecture, including agents, context, and MCPs, and their application to developer tools.
- History of building platform products where developer trust was essential for success.
- Ability to articulate technical problems and trade-offs clearly in writing and speech.
- Capacity to work independently in ambiguous environments.
Nice to have
- Background in software engineering or experience shipping code.
- Experience with AI Developer Infrastructure, data tooling, or MLOps.
- Familiarity with AWS, APIs, shared services, and builder frameworks.
- Knowledge of the Twitch ecosystem and live streaming.
- Proficiency in using data to drive product decisions and define adoption metrics.
