Localization Program Manager at Twitch.
About the role
Twitch is looking for a program manager to oversee the operational side of our localization efforts across 29 languages. You will join a senior team to manage vendor relationships, content workflows, and quality assurance while partnering with product and engineering departments to ensure a native experience for our global users.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the full lifecycle of localization projects for 29 languages, including creative assets, terminology development, and testing.
- Oversee continuous localization operations and identify areas to improve efficiency.
- Direct quality processes by building linguistic workflows and using data to refine LQA.
- Maintain and improve translation quality through the management of linguistic assets.
- Collaborate with upstream content teams to ensure context-rich translations.
- Create reports on localization metrics such as cost per word, turnaround times, and quality scores.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in localization program or project management.
- Proven ability to manage cross-organizational dependencies and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with enterprise translation management platforms and localization tools like Smartling, memoQ, or Phrase.
- Native-level fluency in at least one language other than English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have
- Native proficiency in French, German, Chinese, or Japanese.
- Experience building localization programs from the ground up or leading major transformations.
- Ability to design and implement technical automation and scalable processes.
- Experience evaluating LLM or machine translation quality within production environments.
- Analytical skills to visualize data and translate insights into business decisions.
- Understanding of data manipulation and localization metrics.

- Salary ranges: Seattle, WA ($82,700 - $129,800); San Francisco, CA ($81,600 - $142,800); Irvine, CA ($74,200 - $129,800).
- Compensation includes base salary, sign-on payments, and restricted stock units.
