Data Scientist at Twitch.
About the role
Join the Monetization team to shape the pricing and packaging strategies for Twitch products like Subscriptions, Bits, and Gifting. You will apply statistical rigor to product development by designing experiments and using causal inference to guide decisions where traditional testing is not possible.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Design, execute, and evaluate A/B experiments.
- Utilize causal inference techniques to provide insights when experimentation is not an option.
- Create models to support revenue optimization, pricing, and user segmentation.
- Collaborate with finance, engineering, and product departments to define measurement strategies for complex business problems.
- Develop and maintain analytical tools, dashboards, and reporting systems for ongoing business needs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in applied science, data science, or economics, or a PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Proficiency in Python or R.
- Expertise in A/B testing and quasi-experimental methods.
- Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical partners.
- Experience building recurring reports and dashboards.
Nice to have
- Master's or PhD in Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with high-volume consumer marketplaces, payments, or subscription products.
- Familiarity with causal ML methods such as causal forests, double ML, or heterogeneous treatment effects.
- Hands-on experience with SageMaker, Airflow, or production ML deployment.
