About the role
Truveta is building a data platform to improve healthcare outcomes through actionable intelligence. You will join the Intelligence Platform and Applications team to design and maintain the backend services that support AI-driven clinical and research workflows.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Architect and deploy production-grade backend services and APIs.
- Manage the full lifecycle of services, including design, implementation, monitoring, and incident response.
- Integrate LLM APIs and agentic frameworks into backend systems with a focus on reliability and security.
- Maintain cloud-native infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.
- Implement security best practices, including dependency management and vulnerability patching.
- Collaborate with ML, data, and platform engineers to build scalable healthcare intelligence solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend services and production systems.
- Proficiency in Python, specifically async programming, API design, and modern service patterns.
- Experience with cloud-native tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Demonstrated ability to manage service security, including secrets handling and CVE triage.
- Experience integrating LLM APIs and agentic AI frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph.
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Pipelines.
- Familiarity with artifact management systems like JFrog or similar proxying workflows.

- Compensation includes a base salary range of $155,000 to $190,000, with potential eligibility for incentive pay and stock options.
