Key facts
What you'll do
- Design and implement large-scale distributed systems and data processing pipelines.
- Contribute actively to all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product managers, clinical informaticists, architects, and fellow engineers.
- Apply innovative problem-solving skills and quickly adapt to challenges within the healthcare domain.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline (an advanced degree is advantageous).
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software engineering, which includes:
- Designing, building, and maintaining distributed systems at scale.
- Writing efficient, production-quality multi-threaded code that operates reliably in cloud environments.
- Reviewing data specifications and managing large-scale data storage and distribution using specialized protocols.
- Debugging and resolving intricate production issues in distributed systems.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud-native architectures and DevOps practices, preferably in Azure, but experience with AWS or GCP is also relevant.
Nice to have
- Experience in the healthcare domain.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance.
Skills & tools
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
- Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.

- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States as we are unable to sponsor work visas or permits at this time.
- The salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $145,000, depending on factors such as location, experience, and skills. Additional compensation may be available through incentive pay and stock options.
