VP, Solutions Engineering

About the role

You will establish and manage the US Solutions Engineering department, overseeing the entire technical lifecycle from pre-sales to long-term merchant support. This position requires a leader who can bridge the gap between complex technical requirements and commercial goals to accelerate merchant adoption of our payment platform.

What you'll do

• Direct the US Solutions Engineering team, including pre-sales consulting, implementation support, and technical account management.
• Manage the merchant onboarding process to minimize integration time and ensure successful platform launches.
• Collaborate with Sales and Commercial departments to lead technical discovery, define integration scopes, and demonstrate product capabilities to client engineering teams.
• Serve as the main point of contact for complex technical escalations, working with internal Engineering and Product teams to resolve issues and improve the product roadmap.
• Create documentation, self-service tools, and resources to streamline the integration process.
• Define and track performance metrics such as merchant health, integration speed, and team productivity.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in solutions engineering, integration engineering, or technical account management.
• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity.
• Technical proficiency including the ability to review code and interpret API documentation.
• Ability to explain technical trade-offs to both engineering and non-technical business stakeholders.
• Experience building and scaling teams or processes from the ground up.

Nice to have

• Experience working in fintech, payments, or with API-first platforms.
• Familiarity with ACH, payment APIs, and webhook-based integrations.
