About the role

Trustly is looking for a design leader to shape the future of our global Open Banking Payments network. You will define the visual and functional standards for our Pay by Bank solutions while leading a team focused on creating intuitive experiences for merchants and consumers.

What you'll do

• Direct the overall design strategy for our payment products and checkout experiences.
• Manage and mentor a team of designers to ensure high-quality output across all platforms.
• Partner with product and engineering leads to align design goals with our technical roadmap.
• Establish design systems that maintain consistency across our global markets.
• Oversee the end-to-end design process from initial concept to final delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior design leadership role within a technology or fintech company.
• Ability to manage and scale design teams in a high-growth environment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating complex product design and user-centric solutions.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale digital products.

Skills & tools

• Expertise in modern design software and prototyping tools.
• Proficiency in building and maintaining design systems.
• Deep understanding of user experience principles in financial services.
